Also, make sure 'Show What I'm Listening To' is set Off in BBM settings, if your wife is a BBM contact.

I need to hide porn from my spouse. That screen sharing has gotten me in soo much trouble!

    Posted via CB10
I've never used Screen Sharing before, can you restrict what is allowed to be viewed? If so, use frendon3279's suggestion of creating a "protected_media" folder on your SD card to keep your 'fun' suff in, so that it doesn't show up in The Pictures or Videos app. And then restrict access to it in the Screen Share settings.

Then I guess the only solution seems to be is to zip your fun pics n' vids, and don't watch/look at porn while you're BBM'ing with your woman. lol

Use the protected media folder, I mainly use it when hiding my test grades and answers

But hey I can't blame ya, one of the Engadget writers spotted someone watching "some" on his Q10 on the tube today and posted a pic of his phone on twitter lol

Since we're sort of on the subject... my "wallpaper" folder (default with bb) is in the "protected_media" folder. This means I can't view the images, copy them, or set them as a wallpaper!

Is this normal? Solutions people? Much appreciated

Sideload es file explorer, rename the file or move the files to new folder, and inside the folder put .nomedia file.
So you can only access the file with es file explorer.

However it is much better if you f*ck your wife for better relationship.

Hey y'all. There's a trick to this. Create a folder on your SD card where you want to hide all of your "naughty" pics and such. In this folder, place a blank text file with the title ".nomedia". The dot at the beginning is key as it will not work without it. This will hide any media files in that folder from showing up in the media apps. works with photos and videos for sure. Haven't tried audio.

It might be worth mentioning that this method will NOT hide any files from your file browser.

There's some apps in BBW right now. Search hide files.

It seems like the ".nomedia" idea is one of the best (and simplest) suggestions by others in this thread, so that they don't show up in the Pic/Vid app, and for completely hiding files, there are apps on BB World. Also zipping your files too.

But I think the real problem the OP is having that is nearly impossible to solve is that, while he is BB Videoing with his lady, he is looking at/watching "naughty" stuff while Screen Share is on. The only solution seems to be is not watch/look at adult content while on BB Video, to wait till their session is done first. lol

I tried doing the txt file named .nomedia method just a few minutes ago and can't seem to make it work. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to make it work? I tried copying it into an existing folder in the photos and tried creating a new folder altogether and neither way worked.

How did you create the text file?

I opened up Notepad on my pc and left the file blank but saved it as ".nomedia"
Then I copied and pasted it into my file directory on my phone via Windows Explorer

    *EDIT*
Now that I looked closer, Windows 7 wasn't showing me that it was still a .txt file. I am trying it without the .txt on the end of the filename.

Adding the "Hidden file" property in BBOS7 was way better. Then all you had to do was "show hidden". Not to mention in hid files from file explorer on BB and windows. Maybe this should be added in 10.3
