No as it would be a waste of time and resources in all honesty. All that money they could save by not challenging HTC in court can be better spent on making BB10 OS and the hardware much better in the future and also getting more big name app developers on board.

Seriously BB doesnt need to do an 'Apple' and start suing people and companies left, right and centre...just let yout customers and the phone do its talking for itself.

its a black phone with rounded edges, so are many other phones on the market. There were phones that looked close to teh z10 well before it came out also. I say BB should just stick to the game and not spend money where they dont need to

I think he actually means the UI, the icons do look very similar. E.g the three dots, the share icon.

I didn't know a black HTC one existed before this post. Thanks. I think it's a beautiful phone. I don't think they should respond formally, as it wouldn't get anywhere. But it's important in the court of public opinion that they make the claim. Not that the claim is legitimate, I mean who really copied who? How much freedom does a phone designer have, almost as little as a monitor designer.

No, I think filing lawsuits concerned about hardware design seems petty. It makes it look as though the accuser is unable to win market-share on its own merits and has to go after the competitor outside of the market to do so. Besides, while Z10 and One are similar, they're also pretty distinctive. They're all slabs of glass.
