I'd suggest you download the pdf user manual and check out the tutorial videos in the help app. Also there are a ton of great articles on CB as well as the forums.
    Also welcome to team BlackBerry.

Here is my progression - started with Android

    G1 > myTouch 3G > Motorola Charm (don't ask) > myTouch 4G > Galaxy S > JUMP TO WINDOWS PHONE...

    ... HTC Radar > HTC 8x > Lumia 521 > Lumia 810 (bought on clearance) > JUMP TO BLACKBERRY...

    ... Z10

I have to say I really dig the Z10. It's a bit "android like" however the Hub is really what is selling it for me - along with the keyboard.

    Am I a crazy person??
Nah you're not crazy - you're just on cracks and it's crackberry

That works for the Q10, but with the Z10 I believe you need to tap on the search icon first.
Right right. I believe you can swipe your keyboard up to do it. Thanks for the reminder. I believe you can anyway. Swipe with two fingers up is it?

If you are having trouble editing text, here are a few tips:

    - When you have the cursor ring showing, tap left, right, above, or below the center of the ring to move the cursor in that direction. Much easier than trying to drag it around the screen.

    - A long hold starts off selecting one word, then one paragraph, then the entire text field.

    - To get the copy/paste menu to show up, you can tap one of the blue teardrops instead of a long hold on the selection. This saves a second or so, but I find it is currently a bit buggy in some apps. The tap immediately registers as a drag sometimes instead of a tap.

Would love to hear how using Time Shift went for you. Certainly one of the best features of the phone. Also the keyboard takes a little getting used to, but after a couple weeks you'll be swiping like there is no tomorrow!!!

Yes you can swipe up the keyboard with 2 fingers on the home screen. But neither search nor any of the shortcuts work. If you type, nothing happens. It seems you always have to open search.
I wonder what the keyboard on the home screen is good for? So far, I couldn't figure out. Would be awesome if BBRY implemented a "just type" feature, as on the Q10.

    1. install the latest offical OS version
    2. perform initial battery training. Let it drain down to below 10%, better 5%. While the phone is on, or in bedside mode, charge until full, and keep it on the charger for at least one more hour before unplugging. Repeat ~5 times.
    3. disallow "gestures when screen locked".
    4. disable 4G - normally not needed by "regular" users.

....and after a few days, battery performance will improve significantly.

If you're looking for a button to get into the hub fast.. press the furthest most small icon on the left just above the phone, search and camera icon near the bottom of the screen. You can actually slide left to right to quickly to cycle through the hub to active frames to the icon grid.

The battery life, especially on LTE, is what drove me back to my Lumia 928. Some days battery drain was fine, some days terrible. Seemed directly related to the amount of time I spent on WiFi vs. Cellular. The final nail in the coffin was Skype. Integration on WP8 is great. Even running 10.1 and even after a full reset Skype on bb10 was buggy at best. I definitely miss the hub, Nobex, and blackberry travel but I needed a more reliable device.

Some keyboard shortcuts work on the z10 in the browser, e.g. "t" for top and "b" for bottom of a page.

Also OP, if you're willing to put up with the potential frustration of Link, you can set up remote file access to your home computer - pretty awesome.
