Why not upload it to Box, Dropbox, or OneDrive then share the link of the file.

Set up FTP server/clients on each device. It's what I use when transferring large files between my Z10 and N4. I normally get around 4 megs/sec.

Are you sure NFC won't work? I tried searching file transfer using NFC.

    Here's what I found.

I set my z10 as a windows share (in settings) and map the network drive on the other device (pc/android). I dont play with iDevices(tm), so i don't know if they would play ball.

I use NFC to transfer files between devices all the time. One doesn't have a sim card or wireless service. Not sure why you don't want to use BlueTooth.

Bluetooth is too slow, but when an file is sent through Wifi or Wifi hotspot the files are sent at speed of 1gb less than 10 minutes

Just to clear up a misconception so far NFC pairs the devices, the actual transfer of data is done over bluetooth.

If your phones are supporting USB otg that is the absolute fastest way, use a usb stick

Again, I suggest using FTP. You won't be using data and it's the fastest transfer between devices on a LAN I've come across.

I wanted the ability to share files through Wifi like what ifile offers on a jailbroken iPhone! Transfer rate is super high that it could reach 30mb/s
It creates a server which other phones on the same network could enter and view your files through the browser using an ip address like 192.168.1.3/4/5/6/7 etc
You can both download and upload with amazing speeds

FTP stands for file transfer protocol.

Wifi direct is only available on Q10,Q5 and Z30

USB on the go is only available on the Z30

I use nfc all the time (which does use bluetooth for the actual file transfer)
Bluetooth 4.0 is actually quite fast and I have no problem transferring TV shows music videos and even movies (some in 720)

I prefer NFC over Wifi direct most times because of the time it takes to actually setup. Not sure how large the file are that you need to transfer but an SD card is probably your most effective way by the sounds of it.
