No BB10 device comes with HDMI cables, as far as I know.

No...they don't come with HDMi cables. It would be weird if they did...my TV didn't even - neither did my laptop.

From my experience be sure to buy an OEM one because the ends of the cheap ones wear out fast....

means Original Equipment Manufacturer - in other words - one from BlackBerry instead of a cheapo version. Actually - in this case ANY OEM (well known brands) branded version or good brand quality ought to be good to go.

I was sorely disappointed when I finally decided to hook up my playbook to my tv and tried the "hdmi" cable that was included! But for a few months I was sure that's what was included. Only it was NOT - it was just an ordinary usb cable - like I needed another one of those. So a few days delay as I ordered one from monoprice.com

The OEM dock comes with a pass through for a stock size HDMI cable, of which I must have a dozen.

The ones I bought are Motorola. Haven't had a problem yet and use them almost daily.

No. There is a micro HDMI (type D) port right next to the micro USB.

Z10 is using micro HDMI. Make sure you guys get it checked. Also once you plug in to your phone, u may need to be change the settings to depending on your output device eg projector plasma etc
