Hello,

I've been having problems with my data. I seem to be losing connection randomly. Anyone else have these issues? Text and calls work fine and it works ok with wifi. Would this be a z10 issue or perhaps one with my phone company? Thanks!

Hi Amy, and welcome to CrackBerry!

Next time you notice this, try a device reset first. (NOT the same as a restart.)
Hold down top button, for about 30 seconds. Keep pressing it down, ignoring onscreen countdown and restart option, BB splashscreen, black screen, red LED, BB splashscreen again. I keep holding it down until I see the blue startup icon.

I'm on T mobile and have noticed that since they brought LTE to my area, I have connectivity issues I think when it switches between 4g and LTE. It shows signal, but there is no connection for a moment. Annoying. This happened around the same time I upgraded to 10.1 but I suspect it is related to LTE,4g and other frequency switching.

I tried that but still no data. I read somewhere about turning off bis? I'm not sure how I would go about doing that though.

The OS10 BB's (Z10 and Q10) do not use the BIS.

BIS still exists, kinda sorta. Things like BBM and PIN-to-PIN messages go through the BBRY servers still the way all consumer data used to with BIS.

i was told by an att rep that i had to have a specific blackberry data plan when i wanted to use my z10. i asked what the difference was and i forgot what reasoning she gave but it seemed nonsensical. anyone else run into this?
