I recently updated to 10.2.1 and now many of my contacts display [lastname] [lastname] for a name. They are alphabetized correctly and if I edit the contact, both the first and last name appear in the correct fields.

I noticed this too!

One of my contacts are really messed up.

And on texting some of my contacts names appear on the top of the screen and others just the numbers appear on the screen. I checked to see and the non name is in my contacts list and listed order mobile number.

I had this happen just recently. It did it for my contacts that were both from an online contact list from an email provider and bbm, merged in my contact program. When I showed my bbm contacts in the contact program, it would sync to myford touch with two last names. It was because when the contacts were entered in bbm it is just one line for contact name rather than first last. So when they merged, the first name would be my bbm contact first and last name and then the last name again from my regular contact in the contact list.

Does any of this make sense?

Yes, but it also happens with Contacts I do not have in BBM.

Check and see what links those contacts have.

Also checked that. It happens on contacts that have no links as well as those that do.

I found a solution. If I edit the contacts with double names and add a space after the last name, this issue resolves and doesn't change the name at all as the space is truncated.

I just upgraded to OS Version 10.2.1.2141 / Software Release 10.2.1.2102 on my Z10,
this double last name issue seems to be resolved.
