    If stored locally:

    Settings - Accounts - Menu (3 vertical dots) - Clear local contacts

    You can download an app like contact x that will do it for you plus it's great for backing up your contacts.

    Contacts is such a weak spot for the OS. I reinstalled 10.2 just to get them back to normal. The doubles and triples and random linking of contacts who had no business being linked... I cried daily
