Hi everyone, my contacts are duplicating over and over again. Been using Contact X which works, but using it at least twice a week. Is there any other way to stop this problem. Would appreciate any help. Cheers

I had this happen after installing the 10.1.0.4543 leak. Did a security wipe and reinstall, but the dupes were still there. What seemed to fix it was deletiing the Gmail contacts as set up when adding my Gmail account, then re-adding as a carDav account separately. That cleared it up, and the carDav list was relocated under the Gmail account. That was 3 days ago. No problems since.

Thanks! Having Google Contacts is a must for me. That is the ONLY reason that I left my 9860 Torch and went with the Note 2, instead of waiting for BB10 to be released.

I believe you need to run a Gmail account with Androids...

As far as I know from all my friends, the contacts app works fine without syncing to gmail on any android. I've never heard of contacts doubling, auto contact linking to wrong names or simply the phone not being able to find a contact which is clearly programmed into the phone.

Only blackberry has these problems that I know of

I had a few issues with contacts until I deleted all the SIM ones. Now it works fine. Tedious process if you have a lot of contacts though.
