-Tried to sync my contact list with Google (no succes)
    -Tried Sd switch no succes
-Tried cable switch (no succes) even at the end of the transfer BB desktop pop up a message that it was !?!?!?!

If your old BB phone has BBOS 7, you can transfer your contacts and other data through a Micro SD card using the Switch Device option.

A work around because BlackBerry Link doesn't work. Bbry is wrong to take legacy BlackBerry owners for granted. In reality our expectations are high as we have been drinking the kool aid that bb10 would be revolutionary.

Ok find a way !!!! it is not quite orthodox but it works....
    Using a MAC OS
-I had a 9790 with two Contacts list one sync with my address book on my mac... the other one did not !!!!
-I back up my phone with desktop manager only Contacts List (address book) and I was able to back up each list separated
-I took an old 9700 and wipe it completely and restored with one list first
-Then I sync with my address book on my mac
-wipe the 9700 again and restore it with second list
-sync again 9700 with my address book on my Mac and both list were merged
-then select all contacts and export them as .vcf to my desktop
-load the .vcf file on my gmail contact account
now I am going to load my contacts via carddav

Came from a 9900. Sdcard solution worked perfectly for me, not just contacts but calendars as well. Have over 1000 contacts as well.

The contact list on your old phone needs to be in your address books 'default ' category. If you've ever synced with desktop before your contacts will be in a 'desktop' category and only one contact will be copied when you try and transfer your contacts. I posted the solution as a new thread. If you do a forum search you will find the answers

I just downloaded an app called intouch.
Worked like a charm, loaded it on my old phone via Wifi as i no longer had sim, do a backup and then log on to intouch on new phone and its transfered. Took me 10min.

Its unbelievable what all of us have to go through just to transfer contacts in this day & age! Checkout the IntouchApp approach - build your single contacts list on the cloud with them and they provide apps to get them on any device of your choice! So just connect any two devices and contacts will sync between the two. IntouchId: Apps and Plugins . It is by far the simplest way to get your contacts from any device to your new Z10!

I just backed up my contacts with BlackBerry Protect on my 9810 and when I signed into my z10 with my bbid the contacts came over.
It was the smoothest transfer I have ever done.

I really don't know why I had no trouble at all. Just entered in my Google account and then they were all there with no issues. Wish it was the same for everybody.
