I'm so used to just swiping up and to the right on my Z10. Now on the iPad, I catch myself doing the same, and then stare at the screen wondering why nothing happened. Then I have to relearn and find the damn button. BlackBerry 10 is so much more natural an interface.

I do that on Win 8 Thinkpad and Android Thinkpad. Gestures are just intuitive.

Do it all the time on my Nexus 7. BB10 for PlayBook would be awesome, I would dust off my PB in an instant.

    Whoosh......careful! Z10 in action here! : )

I touch my laptop screen (older laptop running WIn7 and no it is not a touchscreen.) and try to pinch and zoom on maps when my wife is driving the laptop and showing me something.

I haven't been trying to swipe up and right to get to the Hub on my iPad (don't really get many messages on my iPad though because I just use it for general web browsing while at home and it isn't set up for my main e-mail accounts), but I do catch myself trying to swipe up to minimize the app that I am in rather than pressing the home button.

The same happened to me the other day while using my sister's ipad. Also, I got so frustrated because I couldn't listen to YouTube while doing something else.

Guilty here also. I am stuck with I-Pad due to work. Until there is a 9 inch BB10 tablet with Goodreader type app I have to keep reminding myself there is a button and I have to close before I open.

This phenomenon should be called simply "THE 10 Effect"

Definition: "THE 10 Effect" occurs when a uses moves onto a better / best cellular platform in BB10 and then attempt to operate a more primitive OS on devices such as iOS or ANDROID.

LOL......I'm just joking. haven't happen to me because all I use is my z10.

You will start doing it whenever you encounter a screen. Mark my words!

    That's the name for it!

If you are affected by the 10 effect, you've been happily ten-ified.

That's what I'm doing to my girls windows phone, I already taken over the swipe virus from the Nokia N9. Great to see this on BB10, can't live without.

A jail broken Iphone/ipad also has the swipe up ability though most likely android too with a custom rom? ( haven't used android since 2.3)

That's hard to believe. The [annoying] Button would be rendered useless then.
