I plan to get BBM activated on my current Sim Card for Z10.

However, I will move to a new location 3-4 months later, and would change my Sim Card. Would my BBM contacts stay intact, or would a new Sim Card mean resetting the BBM all over again?

    hi.
your bbm contacts should remain linked to your BBID . as long as your new sim card has blacberry services/data provisioned to it you should be good to go

When I switched from Bold 9900, my service provider helped me transfer my contacts from my big SIM to my new micro SIM. Not all contacts were transferred over, as there is a limit to how many contact records my old SIM could hold. The rest were on my 9900's device memory. What I did, was use my old BB desktop manager to back up my contacts first to my iMac. So even though I don't have all my contacts on my Z10 now, I have all my contacts in my Address Book (can't use Link because my iMac is old and Link isn't compatible), and I am taking my time to input back into my Z10 what I want (so many are old contacts anyway)
