    on my bb z10, after updating to the software release 10.3.1.1565, i am unable to link my handset with the blackberry link. I even can not back up my device. As i open blackberry link on my computer desktop, message shows "CONNECT THE HANDSET" DESPITE IT IS ALREADY CONNECTED. Please help.

    reboot your computer? do you have a working USB cable? reboot your phone? Using the newest version of Link? These are all things i'd check.

    I did them all before Posting this thread. Rebootted both. Computer and BlackBerry too. Un installed and re installed bb link software too. But problem still persists. BlackBerry Link doesn't identity my hand set and asks for to connect the handset despite its already been connected. USB cable tested. Works.

    since installing 10.3 I am having the same issue. uninstalled blend and link re installed and I am still unable to back up my z10. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    First, welcome to Crackberry.

    What happens or does not happen when you try backing up?

    In the past some folks found that if they turned of wifi it might work. What computer system and version?

    when I click backup in BB link the window comes up for about 10 minutes that says "computing backup data" then it switches to "preparing to backup." it appears to be backing up on link and the phone. When it fails a dialog box come up that says "Backup did not complete verify that your device is turned on and connected to blackberry link and try again. I have repeated this on different computer and both is getting the same message probably tried about 10 times now with no luck. my z10 is running 10.3.1.1581 and I am using windows 8.1

    I had exactly the same issue with the first 10.3.1 update (Z10 100-2) and now with the latest 2576 upgrade last night. I'm away from my computer today and thinking of messaging BBHelp. I posted a separate question about the same thing yesterday, but haven't made any headway with it yet. Haven't given up hope yet, but am feeling uneasy about upgrading without prior backup.

    I think that I've read that Win8/8.1 might have this issue more often. I'm not sure if there's a resolution.

    Sachesi, discussed in the Leak Subforum, has a backup option. It might work for you.
