I am running the leaked 10.2.1.1055 and had my phone locked using a picture password. This has been working fine for a few weeks now. This morning I was not able to unlock the device. When I swipe upwards the picture password screen never appears. The lock screen remains shown. This phone seems to be working in the sense that it is connected to wifi and the mobile network.

Other than reinstalling 10.2.1.1055, any ideas about how to unlock the phone? I have tried restarting, restarting without sd card, removing and reinserting SIM but nothing worked.

Unlock through Link. Sorry, hopefully, someone else gives a better answer.

Either wait for it to appear (sometimes a few seconds) or keep swiping up until it appears.

I've has to press the lock button a few times for it to show up as well

Someone wrote about this the other day and I thought that they figured out a way. It might have been - hook up to the USB and use Link and see if you are prompted for a password on the computer and then enter your normal password.

I connected to link and it does ask me for a password on the computer. The device remains locked after I enter my password on the computer.

I have no idea. Have you tried the Pressing the Power button a few times?

My advice for the moment is since you can see your device in Link, backup and/or copy manually all of your unique data to computer just in case you have to wipe the device.

Is your device in development mode by chance? I know you can "Launch" applications from the Google Extension link. Might be able to launch the PW screen or the PW settings and remove the lock once the screen is visible on the device screen.

Also, if the device has BB Protect active you MIGHT be able to remove the lock from the site. Or at least unlock it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Unfortunately none of them worked and I had to reinstall.
