Since we are now seeing some carriers in the United Kingdom and other countries in the world getting the *update* to 10.1 that supposedly will solve the random reboot issue why have no Canadian carriers received this update yet? I was under the impression that Canadian carriers tend to be the first since they are right there with BlackBerry hence why I invested in a Rogers SIM card.

*Edit: I am not talking about the initial release of 10.1. I am talking about the update to 10.1 that corresponds to some the recent leaks we are seeing.

I'm pretty sure 10.1.0.273 is out for the usual gang of idiots; I prefer leaks.

No, I am not talking about the initial release of 10.1. I am talking about the update to 10.1 that will supposedly fix all the random reboot issues. This update will reflect the numbers seen in some of the recent leaks that have been posted.

Of course all of the world now except for the US has the initial 10.1 including Canada. Again, I'm talking about the update to the 10.1 update and how other carriers around the world like the UK are now getting this but Canada still has not.

Again, I'm talking about the update to 10.1 that will supposedly fix the random reboot issue, not the initial release of 10.1.

According to the leak thread, .1916 and up is what you're looking for. Don't wait for Rogers, go with the .2354 leak.

I don't do leaks. The days of having to fresh load and restore for each update, for me, ended with OS 7.1. I'm just done doing that, personal decision. This is why I invested in a Rogers SIM card. I thought Rogers and other Canadian carriers tend to get new releases first.

In other words, I have never heard anyone say "wait for Rogers".

However, if what is happening now is any indication of what usually happens, then the people advising USA folks to get a Rogers SIM card should have been advising them to get an EE SIM.

Right, when will Rogers get that or a build comparable to that?

UK is getting it now, but as I said before I thought Canadian carriers got new releases first for BlackBerry...

If how they handled BBOS was any indication, the carriers may have the update, but are taking their own sweet time testing and deciding whether or not to push them out to their customers. It wasn't unusual to get an update that was already several builds old by the time it was released by the carrier.

I don't know if they get the releases before others. But even if they did, barring a critical update, I'm pretty sure they are free to release them at their own schedule, as they did with BBOS.

No at the same time it depends when they finish testing it.

Ok, well the one thing we can all say for absolute certain is that pretty much any carrier around the world, Canada included, releases it much faster than the USA.

not everyone in the UK has got it though. currently its only available to tmob, 3, orange and EE. voda and O2 don't have that, hopefully soon.

same here in Australia, until now neither Telstra nor Optus has released the OS. but I'm waiting... between voda UK and telstra who will be the fastest to release the update.

That's what I have and I'm with Telus in Canada. I imagine they are putting the next update through a lot of testing because they had so many issues with the last one. I don't get any reboots, but my update was missing the APN, which was a pain for three weeks until someone here helped me straighten it out.

We do, but we also don't suffer from the reboots like the Verizon users do.I know Telus is pretty quick releasing any updates available.

Out of the two big updates (10.0.10.85 and 10.1.0.273), Canada has been first for one (and UK gets 10.0.10.90) and tied for the other. No indications, yet.
