I had a few issues and worked with At&T customer service which eventually said I needed to do a factory reset. I had already done a full back up. After the factory reset, the phone locked up with dreaded BB error and I eventually fixed that one.
When I go to restore within Link, I need/want my contacts it shows the data is not compatible with my current software. Is there a way to receive that information?
Also, I thought a full back up was everything on phone, contacts, data, applications, etc. I am I wrong that if my contacts were not on my SD card they wouldn't back up? Contacts that were on my SD card appear on phone, but not any other contacts.
Please help!! I searched through forums and did what I thought was suggested but still no luck.

you can back up in many ways your contacts
the cheap way it is your email addresses
    you can get an app
you can export them from your pc to your sd card in vcf format then install them one by one
