    Did you know?

Pinch the screen to Zoom in and out
Also by pressing the volume up key takes a photo, saving you having to worry about focus and what not

I have tried this several times and it doesn't seem to work on my z10. I can't zoom at all. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, is there a fix?

The Z10 camera is ideal for landscape and profile images. Have a look at what other users are doing with this camera in the flickr Z10 (and Q10 when released) Group: Flickr: Blackberry Z10 & Q10 Cameras and please consider posting your own pictures there with a free flickr account.

As far as cameras go the Z10 should be treated as a fixed focal length auto-focus camera. You do not have the creative control you will with a stand-alone camera but for convenience the Z10 can't be beat. The Z10 optics incorporates a high quality 5-element F2.2 lens (that's faster than the iphone's f2.4 and allows for great bokeh). The Z10 has a dedicated ISP (image signal processor) and a 64MB frame buffer, flash, continuous and touch to focus, and image stabilization. Don't rely on the digital zoom for critical images (this is true for all digital zoom approaches) but wide angle shots are great. Unless you use the flash the Z10 ISO setting remains at 70 for all but low light levels (shutter speeds less than about 1/20 sec.) - the only real variable is the "shutter speed" which I've seen as fast as 1/10,000 sec!

You are not able to zoom in and out if you are in time shift mode.

I found with using a very fast SD card the Z10 camera performs better, especially with the time shift mode. I am using a Class 10 SD card in each of our Z10 phones. I found both the Kingston and the PNY cards are working well. I did not test others.

This doesn't just pertain to the Z10, but in my opinion, digital zooming is a waste of time when there is a default crop utility in the picture app.

Digital zooming is not like zooming in with a regular camera lens, so it's just faster to take a picture and then later use the crop tool to basically zoom into the picture. It's technically the same thing, but faster so you don't lose the moment IMHO.

My cam works fine. In low light, move the box to where you wanna focus. Then you can zoom in and out.

How doe the Q10 lens compare to a standard camera lens, such as 20-50mm?

Also, is there a wide angle mode and if so, how do you set it?
