My calendar produces audio alerts but no visual pop-ups. I hear the alert but cannot see what event caused the alert. I can bet it worked both ways in the past. I did extensive search for this topic but found nothing. Any ideas?

Hmmm. I guess I generally set appts with a REMINDER. So I get a "Prompt Screen" which allows me to Snooze, dismiss or whatever. So I don't recall what happens if I don't set a reminder. But I would have to guess that it pops up some kind of prompt or box.....

Exactly. I used to have a prompt screen and an audio notification but for whatever reason I no longer have a prompt screen just an audio.

Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above
