First make sure you are buying a model that will work with your network.

The only problem with warranty could be that (in case you need it) your phone will be sent abroad for repairing it and you might have some trouble trying to find a BlackBerry Expert Center that will do that.

Mmmm that's was my concern. Since it's for my wife and I want to live quiet in case of problems I better invest some more Euro to have local support.

I ordered my phone from Germany and I live in Czech Republic.. they have the STL100-2 in Germany and I believe it's the same model used in Italy. Your only concern should be the warranty, but if you are a CB guy, you wouldn't really need the guarantee
