    Ok, so apparently I'm one of the first to break my bb z10, I slipped on ice and it popped out of my pocket. Ego hurt plus the bb z10 screen cracked. Mea culpa. Yet when I got the bb z10, there were no screen protecters available on the first day. Please note, it took me about 7 days to accidently break my new terriffic device.

    Question: why is it taking so long to get it fixed? Telus has told me they need a quote first!?! I don't understand....help me understand! Get me bb z10 wonder phone back in my hands!!!

    They need a quote because you physically breaking your phone is not covered under warranty. So they send it to the repair shop, the repair shop opens it up and checks it out, then they figure out how much it will cost, then they give the quote to Telus, then Telus tells you how much it is going to cost, if you agree to pay it then you tell them to proceed, then they tell the repair shop, etc...

    did you get the quote back yet? I dropped mine and cracked the screen, and can't do gestures on the top part of the phone.

    A screen protector wouldn't have helped one bit. Always get a freaking case or face the consequences like a boss.
