It does sound rather odd, I know, but every time I have my screen at full brightness my battery does last longer. I normally loose 10% an hour, regardless if I use it, at about 50% brightness. Currently, I have lost 30% over 5 hours with general use as I normally would.

Very strange, so I thought I'd tell you guys

that is very strange as it does not follow what is normally a tip to save battery life...dim the brightness.

Could it be that the battery manager just isn't estimating your remaining battery life properly after the change? Can you try the bright screen for a few days in a row and report back if the battery is still lasting longer?
