    My friend tried to update his z10 but I guess ended up installing an OS not meant for the phone. Now he can't sign in to bbid nor is the phone detected by link/sachesi

    Not sure what that icon is but try using an autoloader, you can find all of the information you need over in the OS and leaks section.
