I just bought a Blackberry z10, it was factory refurbished. It refused to connect to my home wifi, work wifi and public hotspots....my other blackberries and iOS devices all do. Please help! i feel there is a simple trick here that I am missing! It has been factory reset.

What OS does your phone run? Try upgrading to 2339 and see ifvthat fixes it. Ihad similar problems with 10.2.1.

Sounds like your device has the box unchecked for "hidden SSID" check the box so it can be recognized!
and don't forget to hit save before you close that window!! then reboot and click your selection and it should connect within a few seconds!

If you still have no luck, download and run BlackBerry Virtual Expert.

thanks. I could not download the OS through my carrier so had to do so manualy through my PC. Done so....all to no avail. so odd, yet my partner's 5 works seamlessly on same wifi networks.

Have seen rare cases where the SIM needs replacing and causes wifi to fail. You can test this by removing SIM... maybe just by going into airplane mode and turning on wifi. Does the phone "see" these wifi connections -- is there an error message,

I have the same problem with my phone too. It is not unable to connect to some wifi networks. But still other BlackBerry phones were able to connect to it.
For that reason I connect wifi through my laptop and makes a hotspot through connectify. This way it works..

Did you reload OS through BlackBerry link?
Security wipe will not fix this problem, only a reload could.
Otherwise it sounds like your wi-fi antenna is shot
