I don't understand why BlackBerry does not release an update that covers all devices with the same OS version.
Why is this dependent to each model and then to each carrier? I hate how there are different versions of software floating around. Can't they make it unified So 10.1.0.xxx works with all STL's and what ever hardware variances the Q10 will have?

I mean some might say that this is not possible, but doesn't Samsung and Apple do this already?

Apple devices don't have different hardware between models. Same radios, same processors, same supported bands, etc.

Leaving BB10 updates up to the carriers is a mistake to me.

Actually, I was wrong. The 4S is the same everywhere, while the 5 comes in different versions.
