I've been a huge fan of BlackBerry and always wanted to use one so in my nearest store they are giving z10 at an amazing price for clearance sale so shall I consider z10 for now??

I've had my Z10 for about 18 months now, despite few hiccups along the way which are fixed now, and I'm still very happy with it.
I want a new one, but they haven't released one that I like. Don't get me wrong, I still love it and it is still amazingly fast and good, but when you compare it to the passport for example ( like boot time and overall performance) I feel like it is time for an upgrade. And this is actually what I like most about BlackBerry, even after almost 2 years and several major software updates it is still as fast as day one. My friend's Android phone struggles more and more with every major update causing it to slow down.
So yeah, if you are getting it at a bargain price then go for it. But beware as it is a relatively old model I don't know how long it will continue to receive new updates.

I bought one when they were first released in the US, then another when they were offered at a "price" on shop bberry. I have had no real problems. The phone is fast and geared for communication first. I have no plans to "upgrade" as this would really be a waste of time and money IMHO. Many of my colleagues are still on legacy BBerry phones. If you're fashion conscious, that's another story.

The right price now is $150 max for a like new device. 2012-level hardware, good for communications and basic needs. Runs Android apps with limited compatibility. It all depends what you are going to use the phone for. Good build quality and durable phone.

The Z10 is still a good choice: I would have stayed with it if the battery was larger.

never consider a z10 now, z30 atleast. Honestly I wouldn't get any all touch from BB at this point until we know what the roadmap is in February

OP is probably looking for a cheap BB10 device. If BlackBerry comes up with new all-touch model, the price is going to be much different. For $150 or less Z10 is OK phone.

I say go for it. Z10 is a good solid phone. If you can get it for a good price, go for it. I think you'll be pleased. Got mine shortly after launch and it's still going strong. I prefer it over my iPhone 6... Can't quite put my finger on an exact reason but I just prefer it. Guess iPhone is too "toy like" for me. Don't know exactly how to word it...

Personally speaking, I'll still get a Z10 if I lose mine again. It just works far too well. My device works even better than it did back when I first got it.

Make sure you do your research on the app front though.

If you are looking for a phone for communications, Z10 is still a good device. The OS upgrades has so far been surprisingly good ( compared to other OS devices), phone still runs well and smooth. In fact, each upgrade gives me a better user experience.

Nobody knows how much longer will BlackBerry support the Z10 for OS updates. If the BBOS 6/7 are still running to this date, I would think the latest OS should run well enough for years to come.

For the messaging apps out there, with the exception to BBM, their updates have a few versions later than the other platforms. They do run well enough for a pleasant experience, the newer functions like voice messages and video calls are there, just not as showy.

Emails should still be an excellent experience. The best I have had. If the next upgrade will include better integration with Gmail or Yahoo Mails etc, it will be perfect.

Calling, messaging and emails are my core activities on the Z10. So if you are looking for a affordable option, go for the Z10.

If you tend to do gaming or reading ebooks, you will have a better experience with the iOS or Android.

If you can stretch your money to a Z30 definitely get that instead. If you can't then a Z10 is still a nice little phone.

If you can live with a battery which dies after 12 hours max, yes it is a good choice!
Except battery I have never faced any issue.

I have to say that I love my Z10. I think it is worth buying if:
    • you dont like bigger phones (like Z30)
    • you dont have to pay too much (I think $100 - $120 is ok)
    • you are not the power android app user (they work, they work pretty well, but sometimes you can see that the CPU is a little bit too slow)
    • you are ok with a spare battery. My Z10 lasts about 14 - 17 hours, but sometimes its done after 8 hours. So I bought a battery charger bundle and now Im fine

Z10 was and is a great device and I have never regrettet that I bought it!

    Yea it is worth buying.

So far no performance slow down with new software updates and since it has 2gb i don't think it will have problem for a long time.

The key features that keep it worth buying are:
    a. 2 Gb or RAM
    b. detachable battery
    c. SD card support and 16GB internal memory
    d. dual core 1.5Ghz CPU
    e. The new blackberry 10.3 release with increase it's lifetime and give it a new breath.

So considering the above, i would buy it again if the price was attractive

Yeah, I would say it is worth it for a good price. I picked one up for around $90 Canadian and I am glad I did. I really was impressed by the Z10 when I first saw it and now after using one I am even more impressed by the design/etc. I have gone through a lot of android phone for less than $100 but this thing is 10x better.
