Like previous episodes of NCIS, the BlackBerry Z10 made its way onto television yet again. This time we see the whole phone (unbranded) and the characters actually using it. One of the characters even demonstrated the swipe to unlock feature (check out the images below). I love these advertising initiatives. Although subtle, it's a great way to expose consumers to the product and give them a demo on how to use the new BB10 OS. And they also made the comparison of an old flip phone to the Z10 (or smartphones in general). How its new and may be confusing at first but is a revolutionary change (watch the actual episode, it relates to the context).

I just watched that episode tonight on my PVR. Great to see BlackBerry getting out there. Would have been better if they had shown the brand, so that people would realize it's a BlackBerry.

It's pretty much at the end of the show. Around the 50 minute mark or so.

I agree. I don't think most people would know what that is. Most of my co-workers thought I had an iPhone in a Defender case. That's why I said it would have been better if they had showed the logo.

Don't forget a lot of shows are filmed in Canada which is home of the blackberry. Hopefully they use more in shows.

NCIS isn't filmed in Canada. Even if it was to me the whole point of product placement is to get the name out to the viewers of the show. Without putting the BlackBerry logo I don't think many people will know it was a BlackBerry that was featured.

Agreed... Or even the BBM app could have opened up by mistake! :\ I think its a ad + a insult... Cause that phone looks bare on apps... like seriously! Even a stock BB has more apps!

Plus I spotted a big glitch too! Check the calendar date and check the date said on the lock screen... :| April 4th and April 10th?

There was a Z10 in the 14th episode of teen wolf (3rd season). Keyboard and blackberry logo in tow, wish the character used the flick keyboard though

My wife watches some show called scandal, it's nothing but z10's q10's, of course the show is based around the whitehouse so it only makes sense
