Seems like an odd thing to take away.. it happens relatively often with my playbook that I need to pull up the keyboard manually because it didn't pop up for whatever reason.. obviously they think they've perfect this and it will always pop up when needed, but why not leave the gesture there just in case?
That's basically it. I've never had an issue on the recent builds of the BB10 on Dev Alpha where keyboard doesn't show up. The gestures are already more complicated than IOS and Android as is. And so, I think RIM just wanted to simplify things....

There is a gesture for bringing up the keyboard - two thumbs swipe up from the logo at the same time, it used to work with one thumb in the corner like the playbook but they removed that. The two thumb method works though

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. I think I read a post that said something like 30 or 40 seconds. Still, a lot better than what we're going through now with OS6 and the dreaded PB bootup.

Guys, keep in mind this demo still isn't the latest OS and that a soft reboot can often be quicker than a hard battery pull.
Still - 1:15 isn't bad, especially if you very rarely need to reboot. I have only rebooted my PlayBook about 8 times in the 14 months I have owned it and most of those reboots where due to RIM pushing OS updates.

2 things i didnt like in terms of bugs
and again this is most likely not the final build

1- when you are talking on the phone and take a pic at the same time , the phone sound cuts for 1 sec
so the listener loses the sound and cannot hear u. (maybe something to do with the shutter sound)

2- when you are connected by hdmi to a tv,unlike the Playbook you cannot do another task like surfing or checking out ur hub or play an app on ur Z10 while watching the hdmi output on the tv

my contact will write up a summary of his experience testing the Z10 tonight.
either he or myself will post it for u guys.

ps:to whipe the phone completely it took 10mins on this Z10 16Gb
dunno if its considered slow or quick, just throwing that out there

Thank you for the video. Did you get to take any pictures with the phone. If you did, can you tell us how the picture quality is. Or can you post a couple of pictures taken with the phone. Much appreciated.

    Good eye
Flipboard was a sideloaded app from a BAR file we used.
basically any BAR file converted for Playbook can run on the Z10
im not saying they all run perfectly but it does work
