What I meant was what if they ARE literal about "a colour never been on a BlackBerry (officially of course)" and when we think of it yellow is the only colour that's never officially been a release colour on any BlackBerry smartphone.

Yep every colour you name it, the only one is yellow. Black, White, Red, Silver, Titanium, Grey, Blue, Orange, Green, Purple. Come to think of it as far as I know Brown is also another colour BlackBerry smartphones never shipped with.

Purple was for sure used on the curve 8520. But come to think of it orange and green were never official colors, like you said they were swapped out housing colors. I wonder if rim is even going to release it in the never before seen color

For some reason I thought that a few months ago there was a leaked image (graphic, not actual part) which had a red case? I might be remembering things that never happened though.

Update: Now I remember. It was this news item about BB10 case: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-10-cases. As the cases were generally in black, white and red, I was assuming that red would be the third launch color.

Thats what i assumed as well it just means that TH didnt really bring a color that is never before seen on a blackberry unless like i said earlier in the thread its just going to be a different hue of red. Which other than third party housing's i dont think i have seen a nice red on a mobile phone yet. Smartphone anyways ( my moms old old old old fido phone was a nice candy red)

That's what I was thinking too, a nice bright red, as opposed to the darker red they've done before.
