Hi, I came across this trick while using my recently acquired Z10.
When the device is locked, and we swipe half way to take a quick look at new msg or time, without fully unclocking the phone.
The phone takes 10 seconds to completely go black (I find this irritating, so used to press the lock/power button).
Now when you swipe half way to see time or update, hold your finger and slide back down till the bezel, it will go dark instantly..

P.S - Before buying Z10 i did read quite a lot of tips and tricks, didn't find this so shared.

Yes, been using my lock screen like this all along.
Neat trick. But nothing new.
