    I have a blackberry z10, STL 100-1, after like 4 weeks of using it, i realised that the battery drained quickly so decided to do a security wipe. thats where my problems started. The battery heats up and the phone goes off or rather hangs then goes off. to switch it back on, i have to put it on charger, which it shows battery completely empty even if its full, after a few mins charge the phone works again. This problem occurs usually say when im browsing the a text or whatsapp message is received. any help? oh. and ive done security wipe like 10 times, problem still there

    Hi,

    Sounds like a settings problem or a corrupt OS file.

    Security Wipe again, then reload the OS either by connecting to Link and choosing 'Reload OS' or by using the appropriate autoloader. Do NOT restore any backup to the phone after reloading the OS, or you may reintroduce the problem.

    thanx HTH. Lemme try that. you might be right because after the security wipe, ive been restoring back up from my 8520. ill get back at you if it works

    I seen mostly model Z10/STL1 has problems for OS upgrading .
