I have just purchased a extended battery from Ebay, it says it's a 4500Mah Extended Battery therefore it must last much longer! I will give you all feed back to see if it is worth it or not

Do you guys think I've been scammed and it is just a regular BlackBerry Z10 battery or do you think it is a genuine extended a battery?

Looks thicker than a standard battery. Best you can do is hope it functions as advertised.

Several Z10 owners claim to have bought it and get "amazing" battery life.

    Problems are.

It doesn't show accurate battery life, sudden drops in remaining power, and eventually drops like a stone to 0% but then runs for hours.
Battery life is greatly improved, or so folk are saying, I've seen some posts where folk are boasting 13 hours of life.... which isn't really all that.

I think it adds about 9mm to the back of your phone, so it will be a lot thicker than before, however if its a genuine 4500mah then you should see more than double the life of the standard 1800mah battery.

Only comes with a black back cover (no white option).

I've considered getting on to test, if it gets say 48 hours (2 days of use, and 2 nights of sleep and low discharge) then its a worthy purchase even if you only use it on occasions when your going to be away from power for an extended period.

    Plus sides.

    Its cheap.
Even if it only adds 50% to the current battery life its still a good purchase.

Please report back with your findings.

Bought this a month ago, even though it added a little bit if thickness to the phone, the extra battery life was worth it. I only could use my old battery for 5 hours, but with the new one, i could go for 18 to 20 hours daily it's amazing

This battery looks identical to the one I purchased a couple of months ago.

I'd echo all the comments in this battery and would add that, although it has contacts for the NFC function, it didn't work on my particular battery.

Overall, not a bad purchase for twenty bucks. Just wish the NFC worked and the battery indicator showed the accurate life remaining.

Old cases won't fit, back of BlackBerry is extended by almost 1cm.

Waiting for it to be delivered...will try and stretch a silicone case round it

Careful with that approach. Silicone cases won't stretch too much and even if they do they'll be putting massive strain around the outer edge of the display. You don't want to be waking in the night wondering what that cracking noise was.

I had a seido xl battery for my pre2 and it caused reboots. I then got a seido extended standard sizr for my pre3 And it was flawless for years and gave a longer charge than stock. So it's a lot in the air when it comes to the cheap replacements.

Just to put your mind at rest.. I have the same battery. Took it off the charger at 7 : 45 am and its only at 45% now and it's midnight now. Plugged it in to sideload the Snap update for like 2 mins about 11am or so. Did it via USB and that's all so no charging at all unless u wanna call a two minute plug in charging.

    The battery if fantastic.
