    Fellow CrackberryUsers,

I have an issue with my Z10 battery life and need some guidance/assistance. This is really starting to get frustrating. So I strongly believe to charge my phone in full cycles and not 15min charging here and there. After full charging and day to day usage, my battery drains to approx. 60% and then completely switches off .

Some background on my awesome device:
[LIST][*]Blackberry 10 OS 10.2.0.424 [Carrier Release][*]STL100-1 Unfortunatly[*]I have three active email accounts[*]Facebook, Twitter, BBM, Whatsapp and LinkedIn

I did read some threads and some are stating that it might be the cover attached to the phone. I don't believe that this is the case, the cover that I am using is not a flip cover but a normal rubber cover.

On this OS version is it possible to view the usage stats of the battery?

What can I do in order to resolve the battery issue?

The STL-1 seems to be plagued by this problem. I suggest trying this method, worked twice for me
Take your battery out for an hour just before it gets to the percentage it turns off at (in this case 50%). After that plug your phone on the charger and then insert your battery after a minute. Repeat this process of plugging in and inserting after a minute a couple of times and you should see the battery percentage correcting itself and showing it's true value. (Something between 0% and 10% probably)

I would try another battery to see if the problem is still there. Batteries wear out over time and it would be a good idea to have a spare even if it isn't the battery causing the problem in this case.

This is a well known issue with STL100-1, but unfortunately there is no solution from BlackBerry and no one in CB has a solution that I know of.

    Thanks,

I've had this phone for a while now, since the initial South African release date (February 2013). I hope it's not my battery starting to have problems.
I will try the above and let all know, I hope that this would solve the issue.

Thanks for the tip. It does not seem like a battery usage problem though? The battery bar does not meet with the physical battery status

My Z10 had this issue out of the box, bought it in July and I still have the problem.

Just forget all steps..i have the same problem..now I hope I did it.
Just remove your battery, sd card, and sim from your device and keep it for an hour or more than an hour.put it back to device then plug it to charger, let your device charge to 100%.your device works perfectly later..just go for this..

It will not work perfectly. Calibration will go off after some time. Jost post your problem on Twitter like I suggested. BBRY isn't aware that problem is still present.

Also use slow trickle. Usb. With it left on then a power down after you get fifty percent you could try PlayBook. Charger too

My husband's did the same thing after our last update, it would just turn off at 20% (his is verizon z10). I just thought his battery went bad, but then I updated mine (Att z10) and mine is doing the same thing. Trying the cable idea now.
