Hey just been sitting on my train and had a spark on BlackBerry world opened world and it was an update!!

The notes stated Improved Battery life!!!! So I flicked on 4g to download the sucker only a 40mb update let's see if there's improvements!!!

I got the update too. But surely the savings on battery power only amount to anything only when you actually use Blackberry world. Unless you're on it all day I woukdn't get excited.

I think it would take ages for me to get an update! I do see the red circle that shows that there is an update, but when I enter, I see nothing!

Go to my world on left tab then apps and games check for updates and all updates will flag new Facebook available too

I just did that thanks! Only found updates for Box, Dropbox and Twitter. BB AppWorld needs to be updated properly. We need to know what are the newest apps categories. It really needs a change!

After update, when checking available apps tab, I receive the error message "Unable to retrieve Digital locker for user". Am I the only one seeing that error message?

i didnt get any update for bbworld.. but when i did the check for updates thing it suddently sent me a bunch of notifications for updates to many other apps that otherwise didnt show up..

is there a setting to enable somewhere that i missed to have app updates auto pushed to the hub??
had i not gone to "check for updates" i would not have known about those app updates haha

Currently all BlackBerry World updates are done weekly. I'm hoping for an update to allow the push updates once the updates are available.

Also getting the unable to retrieve error but I had it prior to this update there is a thread here Unable to retrieve Digital Locker for user error i... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums which has a workaround (which is elsewhere on cb) may be worth monitoring in case someone finds the solution

I think the update which was already talked about and posted about already in this forum is specific to battery life with BB APP world expecially when an app is not installing and you can't stop it no option at times to do so and/or for those who can only download over Mobile Connection this is suppose to help not consume as much battery for downloads.

This is not for the device itself for battery life improvement overall, this has nothing to do with the OS as some ppl think it is, but no it is not.
