Hi, i was hoping to get some clarification on Blackberry Protect and its need to have Location services active (GPS signal). Due to how much battery power the phone consumes, i'm currently keeping locations service OFF. I was wondering if i lost my Z10 and had location services off, could i still send a remote wipe/lock request successfully? I am aware that I obviously will not be able to track the phone on a map since GPS is currently off. Just interested if the remote wipe functionality is impeded due to GPS being off. Thanks

why don't you log onto blackberry.com/protect and test it for yourself?

I'm guessing you could could still lock/wipe/backup.

Didn't want to perform a remote wipe. Thought someone would know on the forums

You can still remote wipe without the GPS on, it doesn't have anything to do with your location.
