wonder if any other person has had problem with blackberry protect
i make it ring so i could find but then it would not stop so i had to delete blackberry protect to get it to stop now i have reloaded but it can not find where is on gps and again i thied sound and it would not stop after minute so again i had to delete

I believe you have to send something from the site to shut the ringer off...

I don't know what I finally did to get it to stop, but it wasn't for a lack of trying...lol

I did this to show it off to someone and i just had to turn off and on the phone

can it find your devise when you log on with pc since this happen to me it is unable to find my phoneeven though i have ocation and protect on and gps works as it tracks me on maps

As long as the battery and or sim card hasn't been removed it will find it.

This feature worked soooo much better on my 9860 then my Z10, but hopefully we'll see some updates this year. I didn't have to turn my phone off to make it stop but I did have to wait 5 annoying minutes. It's also sketchy when it works and when it doesn't respond... i dunno

been three days now and it can not find phone. also and it still does not shut off if i play sound it worked at first just wish there was way to get back to original way it worked i have tried reboot and no real way to get support from blackberry((((

I was able to stop the Protect activated alert tone by turning on the media player& using the side toggle buttons. I guess the idea might be it won't turn off if you don't have the p/w to unlock it to silence it from inside the phone.

Try launching the media player hope that works for you.
