...and we knew it didnt have gorilla glass several months ago when it was released, and we care why? There are other glass manufacturers out there that make glass just as tough as a well known companies trademarked name. Just because it doesnt come from corning and its not called "gorilla glass", doesnt mean its not as tough.

Most people are hung up on brand names, and if it doesnt have the said brand name then it must not be as good. While in reality that thinking is false. There are plenty of unbrand named products that are just as good(if not better in some cases), and in most cases cheaper then their brand name counterpart.

Homer - you clearly don't know what you're talking about. The clue?? Well, you've used full stops, commas, and paragraphs. It's a dead giveaway ;-)

All I know is that I have dropped my poor Z10 three times. Once on concrete and the glass has been unscathed.

My screen could be made out of cellophane and I wouldn't care, because I treat it like it's worth $700.

Anyway, whatever the glass is, it put up with me for eight months, so it's pretty good, I think.

Essentially same thing as Gorilla Glass. A plastic shatter resistance screen with the digitizer infused to it
Gorilla Glass is just a brand name.

The problem with this glass is one crack and the screen touch response is broken, while the other two layer display can still function. Even for a year if you're careful
