Default BlackBerry news app what happened?

Had this on my 9900 and used it for RSS, did they get rid of it?

They have it for PlayBook, so I imagine it's coming.

Try Taptu app. Its light years ahead of the BBOS News app. I use it everyday. My favorite app.

Another note on Taptu. It works on on multiple platforms including, web, BB10 and Playbook. You can sync your feeds between devices through your google account if you have one.

Thanks guys. When you get used to one, it's weird to switch.

Too bad they want UNNECESSARY access to my files. SMFH these apps are getting ridiculous.

The news app is on our Z10. Is it a regional or licensing problem causing you not to get it? I haven't actually used the app, but there is one called news on our phones.

That must be a carrier installed app, because it's not the old BlackBerry News.

The News Stand app on the Z10 is a magazine subscription app (like Zinio). It's not a news aggegator.

I used to rely on bb news till i got my PlayBook and started using Taptu. It's still in BB world. Here's the link:

Check out Taptu - DJ Your News in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/64480

    Noooo...its dead & gone??

WTF! Why would you take the awesome viigo app, rework it to the less awesome BlackBerry News app...then kill it & leave us with nothing!??

I've tried every news app avail in app world (I think I've done them all)... they all suck as an alternative.

I too miss the 9900 rss feeds.
Best app I found was gNewsReader, it's a Google News reader that works well.

I recommend taptu but I wish it was native so I didn't have to struggle to get back a level.
