Reinstall the os. Maps is an OS embedded app and can not be deleted and te installed.

Try a delete and reinstall. Or a full power down by holding the power button down for about 15 seconds. Sometimes either if these will eliminate the gremlins.

I think a reinstall is what it needs oh well, I can't do that right now, ill just look for an alternate gps, which sucks cause I actually like bbmaps :/ till I can get my hands on a good computer ofcourse.

It has happened to me once and it was a network issue. Once I drove about five miles it cleared up.

You're right, have you tried a check for updates from settings instead, as it's part of core it might detect its corrupted and hive you an update to same version of os.

I think I know what happened. Have you gone into BlackBerry world lately? Check your my world section for your downloads or updates and check if it finished updating. I had an issue yesterday where I lost Wifi while downloading games. I never noticed or realized that the install never finished and when I went to launch the game it was Grey and when I'd click on it it would give me a black screen or not even open a Window. I'm kinda sure this is what happened to you. So DO check that and get back to us

That's the version I have with the 10.1.0.1762 leak. It runs and finds my location, haven't tried navigating with it yet, but I set up my favorites ok just now.

USED it today, didn't give voice guidance for some reason even though it was turned on. Didn't test after reboot to see if it was fixed.

I just tried it out driving home from work. I can't say that I noticed any thing different from the previous version. It seemed to pick up the route fairly quickly. The GPS signal of the previous version was kind of intermittent on several different occasions. This time it was solid but the sky was quite clear today so who knows.
I was wishing it included the current direction and speed but they weren't there.

After 3 months and few upgrades, still, "Map data is currently unavailable on this country"... others are available on the first minute you bought the phone...
