What was going prior to restore? Simple backup? Installing a leak and downgrading? Official upgrade? Also is Link up to date?

Z10 was my wife device that I borrowed when my z30 went down. Got my z30 back up I was able to restore my z30 but not able to restore the data back on her z10. The backed up os and the current os is the same. Official 10.2.1 Link is up to date. I uninstalled and re installed multiple times.

For anyone who has this issue, what USB cable are you using and did you try different cables?

I am still trying to troubleshoot this issue.

So far I narrowed it down to the media files.
I selected partial restore and I was able to restore apps and settings but not media.

Anyone knows how to extract media from a Blackberry Link backup file?
I can't be the only one with this problem

I specifically do NOT use BBLink to backup media. I do it manually using drop/drag and most of my music media and travel albums are copied from their original locations on my computer so that serves as a backup. I do try to remember to copy or move off photos I take on the phone to the computer.

The backup files are a ZIP format. But I'm not sure if the media can just be extracted as it might be encrypted. So you can find the xxxx.BBB backup file and try examining its contents.
