Now Blackberry 10.2 started rolling in some region, apparently, not in my region and I have not yet receive.

Seeing official 10.2 software release is 10.2.0.415, reckon I could just download the leak version.

Questions, is the leak version safe? Is the leak version untouched? Is the leak version official? Will I get any spyware, malware, virus and such installed in my Z10?

the leak would be "safe" from what you are concerned about. And yes if the version numbers are the same then the OS would be the same. All the same bugs would still exist and all the new features would be the same also

    Yes

Yes. It's a Leaked version. However, it is usually the same except for a carriers Bloatware(apps).

I've never received any of those from loading a leaked OS on my Z10.

As usual, there is also a disclaimer when installing ANY os.

No sir, the leak is absolutely safe.

Go for it. Back up before

    Another silly question,
how you guys know if it's safe or no? How does the Berryleaks team get the leak os? They work for Blackberry, hence, getting ahead of us public?

I guess i feel safe by seeing hundreds of crackberry users download and comment on the leaks. If everyone agrees it's safe then it's probably safe right? Safety in numbers I guess.
As for your question about there the leaks come from, I don't think you will get an answer to that. Because if you do, I'd bet all the leaks would stop.

I have been running the leaked 10.2.0.1767 for quite awhile. All leaked OS's come from BlackBerry, same as the official. Case in point, the Official that is now out is the same as my leaked. The difference in number you can see is referring to software version, and then the actual OS release. People here at CrackBerry use the OS release number.

I am running this version as well. .1767 is the OS to be on PERIOD. Cant find a problem with it and it restored my back up from 10.1.0.4633, took a week to settle down though. Battery life is great!

And what specifically does a higher build ID, make the rollout different than the leaked 1767?

Build ID is a request from a foreman, asking for a group of bar and radio files to be compiled for potential signature.

This build ID from back from when 1767 was new is the same as what's going out now. Not sure how the talk of a new ID came about.

I think someone misunderstood about the difference between the two identifications. They saw the .415 and assumed it was a different OS than the .1767. Unfortunate how some people don't read carefully and then give out inaccurate information. It happens, but is now corrected.
