Wasn't there something in August 2014 with dark Hub screenshots? Can't remember if they where mock ups or the real thing, it's not exactly hard to do though, one BBdev could probably do it relatively quickly

Two things here:

1) You can get a dark hub if you use reverse contrast under accessibility settings. Of course this reverses everything, so your pictures look terrible. You may have seen a screen shot of that.

2) There was a very early 10.3.0 build (not released) which had the dark hub, but it disappeared almost immediately with the next build. Presumably it caused some unexpected complications, and they decided not to pursue it through to completion.
