Hey, I did my update yesterday...is anyone else not noticing any difference in battery life? Maybe I just have a faulty battery?

For a self serve app. Turn off your wifi, and go to mselfserve.ca

Really?? It works perfectly for me. Bell had this bookmarked by default in the browser. Perhaps your browser is in desktop mode? If it is try it in mobile mode.

Yup. I can confirm that it does not work in desktop mode.

Finally got to really test the battery after the update. Took it off the charger at 8 : 30 am and it is now just about 8:30 pm, and I'm at 20% battery. It just gave me the warning. I have had wifi on almost day, left it on by accident when I went out, brightness all the way down, no wifi or nfc. Made an hour long phone call, check twitter, fb, instagram, sent and received around 100 texts combined, maybe 50 BBM sent and received combined, surfed around the forums, browsed the internet mostly getting BBC updates on premier league games, have 2 email addresses set up. Don't know what I missed there.

So essentially, 12 hours of normal use for me leaves me with 20% battery left. Good or bad?

All personal preference. If you feel like it's enough battery life for your needs, then there's your answer.

Don't depend on what others think is a good battery for your needs.

Oh no I understand that. People were saying they had great improvement in the battery life after the Rogers update so I'm wondering if what I'm getting is in line with what others are seeing, and if it's improved for them. I acquired the battery charger bundle for the days I'm not around a charger anyways.

I downloaded the small battery update at 1:10am last night. It's 6:30pm right now and my battery is at 70%.

Admittedly it's been a quiet day, but 18.5 hours using only 30% is only 1.6% per hour.

    Pretty dang good I'd say...

I keep getting a 4mb update over and over again to same version 10.0.10.85 and noticed this update keeps re installing foursquare and LinkedIn! It's driving me nuts and just keeping them on my phone now. Jeesh!

If you delete those apps you will get an update notice that will reinstall them.

The easiest thing to do is to create a folder for them (and any other unused apps) and stick it on your last page.

A final update on my incredible battery performance after the 148mb OS update plus the 7mb battery update from Bell:

As mentioned above, the phone was unplugged from the charger fully charged at 1:10am Saturday morning. At 7:30am Monday morning the battery was reading 20% so I put it back on the charger.

That's almost 53.5 hours using 80% of the battery = 1.5% per hour. It was a quiet weekend phone-wise: 2 short calls, two dozen SMS messages, 4 emails, 3 short app updates, 1 app download and approximately half an hour of browsing (including 6.5 hours on bedside mode).

This is from a phone that started out using a full charge in 4.5 to 6 hours (all I had to do was fix a faulty email configuration and wait impatiently for Ma Bell to send updates).

    I'M IMPRESSED!! Love my Z10!
