I recently couldnt chat with two of my most important contacts. The messages says "D" but they never recieve it. Their messages come thru to me and shows up as "R" on their phone. I deleted both of them, re-invited, did a security wipe, checked block list ect and still nothing. They both have blackberry 7 devices and are with Vodacom while Im with MTN (South Africa). I can chat to all my other contacts on Vodacom just not to them.

As you can think, it's driving me nuts. Please help?

I have the same problem. I am on Z10. The other person reinstalled the app (on BB9900) but she could send me. I couldn't reply though

Did u try adding them using email address instead of pin?

When you invite to bbm simply invite them by typing their email address into the box instead of their pin. Any email address that goes to their phone should work.

Have you had them delete and re-add you?
Also do you by any chance have any links to those contacts in the contacts app?

Btw I'm on Vodacom my bf is on MTN we chat no prob that's Z10 to Z10.
My mom also on Vodacom Z10 and speaks to her employees who have various legacy devices, all the time no problem.
So I don't think it's that

yeah we tried everyting we could think of. No links to them in contacts app.
This makes no sense, suddenly just cant talk to them

I agree with that. BBM on Z10 have only been giving me problems

Mine still isnt fixed Vodafone are telling me I need a new sum card cos it needs updating, what a load of s***, I've had nothing but problems with these Z10's going to pick up my Q10 tomorrow so I will see what that one is like compared to this Z10.

I had the same trouble but on the BlackBerry support forums It was mentioned that the server issue is fixed and battery pull is required while the phone is on.

Faced the same issue during the initial testing of my Z10.
This was mainly due to the device being registered on different BBM servers.

If the battery pull does resolve the issue, good.

Are those 2 contacts having similar issues with their contacts, other than you ?

I've done a battery pull, and tried over wifi and still not working for me, I've got to get a new s card tomorrow as my service provider said my s card needed updating and i can't do it through the phone itself.

I can't access my messages in the hub or go into the BBM app itself it just keeps giving me the loading blue circle and saying BBM loading but that's all it does.

I'm having odd BBM issues as well. I am non a ship at sea using Cellular at Sea. On my old 9860 I could always use BBM, I cannot send or receive BBMs. but the Internet works fine. I'm not sure if this is related to the BBM outages others have experienced of if my plan is messed up, or if it is the phone.

I'm on the Unlimited international plan with AT&T. I upgraded because I broke the screen on my 9860 or I probably would have kept using it a while longer.

I love the Z10 but if BBM doesn't work on ships like it did with my old phone, there is no point in having a BlackBerry. BBM worked fine for me this week in Mexico.

I find it odd that my Internet works but not BBM. Of course I understand BBM is on BIS and the Internet isn't on the Z10 though.

I have to figure this out soon. I leave the ship tomorrow then will have to decide whether or not to keep the phone before I leave for the next ship in six days.
