Just tried to open a video attachment to an e-mail which was in a .wmv format. Keep getting ERROR message: "This file contains an unsupported media format" !!! My searches on the internet seem to indicate that this format is acceptable. Any ideas?

It should play wmv file, see official spec data:

Thanks that's my conclusion too , that it should play but it's not!! Wondering if I may have a control button OFF, but I've checked all that I know of.

I get this when I try to view a video on the CB10 App. The videos work fine from the mobile site though so I'm not really sure what the issue is

The video will open on my PC but not the BB10Z !!!

Just found out that the .wmv video was a You Tube video. So I went to the You Tube website and I could open the video on the internet. So why would it not open as an e-mail attachment???

Try contacting BlackBerry either by email or twitter. From what I've experienced and seen so far, they're pretty good with responding to customer issues via both methods. They also have several twitter accounts to narrow down the area you need help in. Or just flood them all with tweets about this issue and see who the first to respond is lol

That's weird. I got an email with a .wmv previously, and it opened and played flawlessly. Is .wmv a container like .avi? Maybe the sound/video codecs used aren't supported?
