BlackBerry 10: RIM unveils music, movie and TV deals for new operating system - thestar.com

Seems very similar to Netflix but a mobile version of it. It would be really cool if you can just plug in your HDMI and play it off your TV. That would be a great way of extra revenue for RIM.

    Thoughts?

Netflix is for streaming...BlackBerry World allows you to download the movie.

    Different services.

And yes, you can plug your phone into your TV via Micro-HDMI

There won't be any streaming from BBW?

Yes, you will be able to plug and play, but it won't be like Netflix. Netflix is a subscription whereas you can watch as much as you want. This will be a rental or purchase scenario. And yes, this will be another revenue stream for RIM as they will take a percentage of each download.

Don't hold your breath for Netflix.

Not saying it won't be there, but it is doubtful.

Still nothing but a rumour. We'll know it less than 2 days though

Netflix is amazing, the lack of an app on the playbook really hurt it's usability for me.

will we be able to stream directly from the browser?
A question on many folks lips...

Of course with sh1te content and capped data plans in the UK, Netflix is not hugely important to many here. Completely different in the US, I believe.

Maybe I've been hanging around the wrong corners of the internet, but I'm fairly sure I've misinterpreted this...
