I've googled this for days and cannot find any solution or even steps to try. I have never used Skype but now have a need to do so (or ANY app that will give me access to other Skype users). Any time I open the app, however, nothing happens. I tried purchasing IM+ to use in it's place with the same result. The app won't launch.

Please advise what additional information might be needed.

No Debug token installed
Developer mode OFF

IM+ and Skype both downloaded via BlackBerry App World. If it matters, I did sideload some apps last August with the Chrome Playbook sideloader. Other apps work as normal.

Did you try waiting a while after attempting to launch it? Sometimes it takes a while. Alternatively try sideloading the android version

Thank you for the reply. yes I've waited a while, restarted, and battery pulled. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. The Sideload versions Ive found say that the latest OS update broke the build. Surely the apps Skype and IM+ have something in common that is failing at launch. Other apps open fine.

Maybe you can try a factory reset. I use Skype on a daily basis to communicate and other than occasional hanging and long start times it works fine. My os version is
Z10STL100-2/10.2.1.3247

Looks like blaq is for Twitter, not Skype, correct?
