BB Z10 Battery Life (Z10 USER HELP ME!!)
Hi everyone,
I am just about to get a Z10, and I now have bold 9900 and before this iv had several iPhones.
The battery life on my 9900 is somewhere between 2-3 hours from 100% to 0%, which is just stupid and I can't cope with (partly why I'm getting a Z10). So I was just wondering what it's like on the z10 otherwise ill cancel my order and get an iPhone 5 as the life on those were much better!
Cheers everyone! - 02-05-2013, 02:20 PM

2-3 hours sounds a bit quick, even for a 9900?

as far as i know, with moderate use, the Z10 will last a day.
It can last 8 hours with continuous video playback, which is a battery drainer so it shouldnt go down in a few hoursZ10 Brigade member - 02-05-2013, 02:23 PM #6
Something is wrong if you are getting 2-3 hours on any smartphone...

]I thought that but the 9900 only has a 1250 mAh battery.

should get more then 2-3 hours though. people say with the right management they can make their 9900's last a day.
you may be better off heading to the 9900 forums and seeing what they say they getZ10 Brigade member - 02-05-2013, 02:36 PM #10

For some reason mine came with the NFC antenna on by default. Suggest turning this off for a true battery life benchmark.

There was Ars Technica test on the Z10 battery. Under similar test conditions the iphone lasted 8 hours and 55 minutes. The Z10 lasted 8 and 22 minutes. The review is right here:

1230. It's listed right on the battery. 2-3 hours is not anywhere near normal. I don't know how you could get a drain rate of 40% without a hardware defect of some sort. Be it battery or phone.
Every night I stream music from 9900 to PB with bridge. Always leave all connections on. I get 6 hours every time.
Yesterday you had a Z10. Today you want to get one.
Something stinks. - 02-08-2013, 09:16 AM #16
Hey I had the same issue... I found out by searching that the Z10 is synching a lot of stuff in the background like your emails, texts, bbm contacts... probably learning the words you type for your keyboard (hopefully)... so the first day it lasted only 4 hours... second day almost the whole day... today since im snowed in im gonna destroy my data and the battery... lets see if it performs betters

My Bold 9900 lasted 2 days...my new Z10 lasts a day with average use. The day I got it, the battery was at about 30%. I played with it a lot, let it die (in about an hour). Fully charged it overnight, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm it was low and that was still downloading apps, BBM, browser etc. Yesterday, fully charged at 6:00 am, average use and it lasted until 9:00 pm when I put it back on the charger.
