Have any of you Z10 owners tried hooking it up to an external monitor and then use a bluetooth keyboard & mouse to control it?
I don't have a Z 10 but I have a playbook with the bluetooth keyboard and mouse and thought that with the Z10's HDMI out this would be a real "mobile computing" solution.

Yes! Thanks for trying it out. This makes it more versatile than a standard blackberry and playbook combo in some respects i think.

Still looking for the mouse cursor. please take a pic of the devices using a camera. I think the screenshot won't show the mouse :/

Yeah I realised that, unfortunately I am laying in bed, no camera to hand, unless it gets done in the next few hours, I shall test it and a keyboard in the morning....

It's ok, we believe you. I just you wanted to show the world how clever the device is. For now nothing to say but Good Night

Will having a full-fledged docking station so it can be your PC be clever?

Very excited to hear this news. If the Z10 will do 1920 x1080 through a monitor, I'm dumping my laptop!

"The vision is going to start to materialize this year," he said. "You will be able to plug the (Z10) device into a docking station at the office and then all you need is a keyboard, a mouse and a screen. Combined with cloud services this would mean you don't need a laptop or a desktop." said BlackBerry's head of marketing Frank Boulben.

Apparently I threw out my old bluetooth keyboard when I moved house recently, but I purchased one this morning, and as you can see from these 2 pictures, both sync up. I will upload a video shortly showing functionality...

That's awesome, I didn't realize that they had done this purposely so you could use it as a desktop or laptop replacement. As pointed out by snuci's post. I'd be interested in seeing your video and hearing your thoughts about its potential as a pc replacement.

What brand and model is the Bluetooth keyboard in the photograph?

It's an advent k512 Bluetooth keyboard, about 20 in PC World.
It feels sturdy enough, with a nice amount of feedback on the keys
    Rather slim and light also.

Are there any keyboard shortcuts? Does tab work in an email? Do you ever have to touch the screen or is the whole os fully controlled by keyboard and mouse? I'm assuming that dual screen support doesn't work?

I shall get the video up tomorrow, couldn't get audio working the other day

In all the time I have played with it, I haven't had to touch the screen.

And I shall test the keyboard properly tomorrow as well. It's what Sundays are for!

I think we're seeing a glimpse of the bigger picture now! HDMI out and Bluetooth and it's a game changer......thanks for the research! As it was pissing down with rain here in the UK most of the day, time well spent I'd say ;-)

Great work on the video, I saw in the overflow menu in your video that it did have a copy and paste option in Docs to Go, that should work I imagine? Not as handy as ctrl-c and ctrl-v of course.

Anyone try this combo with RDP or Citric receiver to a remote desktop?

This would definitely eliminate the need for a desktop or laptop in our office.

FWIW it inspired me to check PlayBook, and wife's iPad Logitech keyboard and Microsoft Presenter BT mouse work great with it....just like Z10..
Though the copy-paste ain't too user friendly....
