    I rented a Dodge Charger yesterday and tried to plug in the BlackBerry USB charger to charge my Z10 phone. A notice popped up on the phone saying 'trying to install BlackBerry Link' -- in the car! Could not dismiss it. It kept coming back. Finally couldn't charge the phone.

    Any ideas? Even tried switching off the BlackBerry Link option in Settings, still no luck.

    One thing that might be worth trying is to enable USB drive access to your SD card (which you do in Settings/Storage and Access).

    What's happening is that your car's stereo is trying to access your phone to scan its storage. If it finds music, you'd be able to play it the same way as a thumb drive.

    Thanks for the tip. I did not want the car stereo to freeze up trying to read the 64GB card. Will try next time.

    What irks me is that I plugged in an iPhone and everything worked immediately.
