    Hi all,

I have had to turn off my computer's firewall so I could use the cellular network to access files on my home computer remotely using my
    Z10.

I believe there is a way to avoid turning off the firewall completely and just allow it to make some exceptions. I would prefer this as it won't leave my computer so vulnerable. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

Assuming you're on Windows 7 or similar click on the start pearl and type
allow a program through windows firewall
into the search box, the applet will display above, click on it and you can add exceptions in there

I am on Windows XP, but it should be the same steps.

    Thanks for the advice.

So does this allow me to turn on the firewall so I am protected and also let me use cellular to connect through my files from my z10?
